This is my effort to describe my paradigm, trying to give you some background to who I am and to be transparent about why I think the way I do.
I used to hack on c64, nowadays I mostly hack Keynote and Powerpoint. I’m a dad, husband, learner, foodie and snowboarder.
I work as an IT strategist in the public sector at Region Västra Götaland, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
At work I mess with web tech strategy and web oriented architecture. Which means I work with things like search, information flow (pubsub, metadata, taxonomies), portals, e-services, GIS etc. Quite often I find myself in the role of product owner. I love getting involved in development projects and deliver the new, awesome, useful, usable and findable stuff.
The fact that we open source a lot of the projects at work that I’ve been involved in, is something that makes me proud. Giving talks, doing presentations and going to conferences gives me inspiration and a lot of joy.
I try hard to act as an change agent. Pragmatic more than dogmatic. I like meritocracy and wirearchy. Smart and lazy are two words that I really like in combination.
I try to read stuff outside of my own domain, to learn and to be inspired. Another great word I really like, betweenness: “it’s not who you know it’s where you know” (Stowe Boyd).
Here are some of the books I read and liked. Even more of what I like.
